Riverside walk

Why not take a walk along the river and see if you can spot some of the local bird life and wildlife.
A two mile stroll around Eling – starting at Eling Quay. This walk takes you past Eling Tide Mill, Eling Great Marsh, Goatee Beach, Eling Church, Bartley Reach and finishes at Totton and Eling Heritage Centre and Eling Creek Tea Rooms where you can enjoy a welll deserved cup of tea!

Or alternatively a lovely 7 mile walk around Totton and Eling – taking you on a return trip from Eling Quay along the River Test to Nursling, back into Totton via Testwood Lakes and back to Eling.

Finally, for the really keen walkers among you, you can walk the 44 miles along Test Way, ask at the Tea Rooms for one of our free walks leaflets.

Picnic Area and Pirate Ship

For the younger ones, there is brand new pirate ship to play and have fun on.
All under 16’s who visit the Tide Mill will get a free ‘Smugglers and Pirate leaflet’ as Eling Creek was in the past a well known smuggling area.

TIDE MILL LAUNCHES NEW BROWN FLOUR

Having milled stone ground flour on site for more than 900 years using the power of the Tide, the historic Eling Tide Mill is proud to announce the production of a brand new brown flour - “Flour of the Forest Brown”.
