Eling Tide Mill

Welcome to The Eling Experience.

Historic and Appealing, there’s nothing quite like Eling.

The Eling Experience is a great half day tourist attraction for visitors to the area but is also a hidden treasure right on the doorstep for local residents to revisit or perhaps come for the first time.

Eling Creek is, situated at the head of Southampton Water, where you can see tidal power used to mill flour on a daily basis. Just over the road from the Mill is the Totton & Eling Heritage Centre, which shows the history of the area from Bronze Age days to the present day. You can even sit in an air raid shelter and experience the sound of bombs dropping all around you.

All around the area are interesting historical and ecological walks with views over the water and there is a new pirate play ship in the picnic area.

Eling Church is also well worth a visit being one of the oldest in the New Forest.

You can finish your visit off with a snack and drink at the Eling Creek Tea Rooms with its excellent new and exciting menu.

The Eling Experience is a great half day tourist visit with something for all the family.
